Re: Staff member dies in accident

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that one of our staff members, Jerry Randle, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident late Friday night in Felton. Jerry was a valued member of the Physical Plant staff, having served more than 11 years as power-plant operator.

For the last seven of those years, Jerry worked as a lead operator in our cogeneration plant, taking responsibility for the plant's day-to-day operations. He received a Physical Plant Employee of the Month award just this past July.

Jerry's survivors include his wife, Conce; four daughters; and three grandchildren.

The family is planning a memorial service that will take place in Louisiana.

Please join me in extending condolences to Jerry's wife and other family members, and to his many friends.
