Re: UCSC student dies after apparent fall

With deep sadness, I write to report the death of Sabrina Greenfield, a sophomore student. Sabrina's body was discovered on campus early Saturday afternoon, September 23. The circumstances are under investigation by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff/Coroner's Office, but it appears that her death was the result of a fall from one of the campus bridges. There is no indication of foul play.

Since the death, Counseling and Psychological Services staff and other Student Affairs professionals have been providing assistance to College Ten students, where Sabrina lived, and to anyone else who would like help in dealing with this tragic loss. Students, staff, and faculty who would like to learn more about CPS resources may call 459-2628.

Please join me in expressing heartfelt condolences to Sabrina's parents and two younger siblings. She also leaves friends and classmates, to whom I know we all extend great sympathy at this sad time.
