Re: Student Move-In Activities
This year a number of colleges will be hosting student move-in beginning Thursday, September 18. This is a change from past years when move-in took place primarily over the weekend. Because of the increased number of students, move-in activities must now be conducted on weekdays, as well as on the weekend.
Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS), the University Police Department, University Events Office and Student Affairs have worked together to plan and coordinate move-in activities in order to provide services in the least disruptive and most efficient manner possible. We appreciate your patience and hope this information will allow you to plan accordingly.
In most cases students will be staged in the remote parking lots. When instructed, they will drive to their college, unload their belongings and then return their vehicle to the remote parking lot. Please review the move-in schedule for information at http://www2.ucsc.edu/taps/movein2003.html for specific times, dates and activities that may affect your area.
